3 Best Exercises for Love Handles for Women

How to get rid of Love Handles

Nobody wants love handles but the truth of the matter is that most people do have them.

This is an important distinction because it should put to rest that there is anything wrong with you because of your love handles.

However, that doesn't mean that you have to live with them! The following three exercises will help to get you in shape within just a few weeks, putting you in a league of your own when it comes to a healthy, sexy body.

1. Twist Crunches

This is a similar exercise to traditional sit ups or crunches. You start by lying on your back, with your feet flat on the ground and your knees pointing upwards. With your hands crossing each other and resting on each shoulder, raise your head toward the ceiling as your upper body comes off the floor.

Reach your right elbow toward your left knee, and then slowly go back into the starting position. Repeat using the left arm and right knee this time. Do three sets of ten to fifteen reps each.

2. The Standing Twist

This will get your heart rate up and help you to burn extra fat while targeting and toning the oblique muscles. Start by standing upright, legs shoulder width apart from one another. Open your arms so they are shoulder height, and then swing your body back and forth in a controlled manor.

As your body swings to the right, swing your left hand around your body while making a fist, and do the same with your right hand when swinging your body to the left. Do at least 100 repetitions.

3. Walk or Jog

Walking and Jogging burns extra fat and is essential in reducing and eliminating your love handles. In fact, spot toning alone will not give you the results you're looking for. In order for any definition or tone to be apparent, you've got to get rid of the fat.

Take brisk walks after dinner, and spend at least 30 minutes a few times a week on high-energy aerobics exercise such as jogging, using exercise videos, or taking a class.

In addition to the right exercises to target those love handles, what you eat can play a big role in your results. Stay away from foods that are high in saturated fats, sugars, and salts. Eat at least one salad a day, and include no less than 5 servings of fruit and vegetable in your daily diet.

Eat a balanced meal and remember not to starve yourself as this can slow down any fat loss efforts. Limit processed foods found in the store, and avoid fast food restaurants. Regular exercise and a sensible diet won't only get rid of your love handles, but it will make you feel stronger, healthier, and happier than you are today.
