Why You Should Exercise Daily

Exercising daily does not mean that you have to head to the gym and lift weights for an hour. Thirty minutes a day of exercise is all that is needed.

This exercise could be anything from a brief aerobics class to a walk around the office building on your lunch break.

When you exercise daily, you will find that you are less likely to end up with coronary artery disease, Type II diabetes and other diseases.

You will also have increased muscle strength, better control over your weight and you will be able to maintain your independence for much longer as you age.

Another great reason to exercise daily, even if it is just for thirty minutes, is that your spirit will be lifted. You will have more self-esteem and you will have energy that you thought left you back in childhood.

How to Plan Daily Workouts

Many people claim that they simply do not have the time to exercise. If you are one of those people, you might be under the impression that you need a full hour to exercise.

Even a full half hour is sometimes not something you might be able to find in your schedule. This is completely understandable as life tends to pull people in many different directions all at once.

The thing is though, you do not need a full half hour, uninterrupted. It would be nice, but it is not needed in order to truly make the most of your workout.

You can plan for three ten-minute workouts around your work schedule. Take the dog for a brisk ten-minute walk in the morning before you leave for work.

Take twenty minutes of your lunch break to eat and then ten minutes to walk around outside. Then when you come home, take the dog for another brisk ten minute walk.

Before you know it, you will find all sorts of ten-minute intervals where you can work in some exercise. If it makes it easier for you, multi-task. This way you are getting in your exercise and you are not neglecting other things as well. Vacuuming and mopping the entire house can be great exercise. Running around with your kids is great exercise as well.
