Advantages of Personal Training

Personal Training field has grown exponentially and Exercise Councils predict an exponential rise and for one good reason - Personal Training produces results!

And whenever I mention Personal Trainer or PT remember I always mean a Certified Personal Trainer or CPT.

  • PT helps correct your Exercise Techniques

Even though we have an excellent exercise techniques section with explanations and images of almost all important exercises, I often get emails for clarification. So if you are the type of person who learns best by doing then a PT can help you perfect your technique.

  • PT helps you stay focused and committed

An exercise session with a PT is like an appointment which you look forward to. This minimizes the chances of missed workouts. Also since you will be charged for missed workouts as well you are more likely to stay committed to your exercise program.

  • PT analyzes your diet program and offer valuable suggestions

Many people cannot differentiate between a calorie and celery! A PT can help you analyze your diet, check for any nutrient or caloric deficits and offer valuable suggestions. This can be Invaluable advice.

  • PT helps you monitor fitness

A PT can accurately check your Body fat, design a portable workout and monitor your progress accurately to evaluate your workout progress.

He/She will also update your training program every few weeks to keep it exciting and boredom-free.

Is Personal Training right for you?

If have been struggling with exercise techniques and creating your own diet, then a Personal Trainer can create a customized diet and exercise program specifically for your body type and continuously motivate you to reach your goals.

What to look for in a Personal Trainer

1. Certification - Certified Personal Trainers either by American Council on Exercise, National Strength and Conditioning Association or by International Sports Sciences Association. American College of Sports Medicine is another good certifying center.

2. Experience - Some trainers are trainers-on-training. Unless he/she is a proven candidate you are better off with someone whom you are impressed with.

3. Additionally - Does your PT offer free body fat testing, free massage or other relaxation techniques, Alexander Technique etc. Its an added bonus if he/she does it.

4. Nutrition Advice - Does your PT include Nutritional advice too? A sound nutrition plan can be the difference between success and failure in your fitness battle.

5. Attitude - Is he/she friendly and dependable? Since you are looking forward to your workouts. Stay away from PTs who laugh at clients just because they cannot do a complete pull up!

Best Online Personal Training Programs

I have seen many Online Training Programs but one stands out from the rest - The Global Health and Fitness - GHF Program.

Dr. Jack Ford calls, “The most personal, effective, and affordable fitness program in the world!”
